An old client — a barrister in London — once told us he had carried the same briefcase for thirty-one years and would carry it for ten more. We made the L'Executif with him in mind. The leather is vegetable-tanned in Tuscany, the hardware solid brass cast in Birmingham. The handle is double-rolled and stitched with bonded linen thread. Thirty-one years is a starting estimate.
